How does my camper get to and from camp?  LHF will provide a bus for all campers to be transported to and from camp.  The bus stop will be at the LHF Baton Rouge office.  Details to come on your individual check in time.

​What does the daily schedule look like?  Our days are filled with camp activities--climbing wall, zip line, boating, swimming, art, music production, escape room, ceramics, horses, farm, dancing, indoor rock climbing....  All of our meals are together in a beautiful dining hall. The day time activities are done with your cabin groups.  We then have large camp group activities in the eve.

What are the accommodations at Camp For All like?  The Camp For All campsite is beautiful. The cabins are nice and have bathrooms/showers in each cabin.  Please check out the Camp For All website

How are behavioral issues addressed at the camp?  We individualize treatment of all behavioral and emotional issues at camp along with our social work team and leadership team.  We work to help campers to be together in a group setting.  If there are repeat and/or issues that go against living successfully in a group setting within our rules, parents/guardians will be contacted and on occasion, campers will be sent home--it would be the responsibility of the parent/ guardian to pick up their camper.

Are there any specific requirements for camper drop-off and pick-up?  We will get all of our accepted campers/families a camper acceptance packet that should be completed and turned in within the deadline specified.  This information will help us to take the best care of your campers.  At check in you will need to bring all of your campers medications and needs.  We will get all families the information needed prior to camper check in.

Is there a nurse or medical professional on-site?  We are lucky to have the support of the Tulane Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Clinic staff team onsite throughout camp taking care of our campers.  The team assists throughout the year ensuring along with our leadership team that we are very prepared to care for our campers.

How do you handle homesick kids?  We work closely along with the camp counselors to care for our campers.  If there is homesickness and/or emotional issues, we work alongside our social workers and leadership team to help guide each individual to have the best time at camp.  There are of course instances where campers want/need to go home and we would be in contact with families to make the best decisions case by case.  In most cases, each camper gets over the natural feelings of homesickness by being involved with the FUN of camp and then wants to come back year after year!

Why would I want to be a counselor?  Being a camp counselor is a beautiful experience--learn about bleeding disorders, a great addition to your resume, experience hours to help you get a job, a way to pay it forward and have fun!  You do NOT have to have a bleeding disorder to be a counselor, just a caring individual who will add to the spirit, and positive experience of our overall camp.
